Need a hand?

Questions, corrections, or a button that won’t cooperate?

Email help@goodnewsbutton.com for support. For anything else, contact us at hello@goodnewsbutton.com.

Using the button

Press the red button to hear a short story. Another press moves to the next one. Choose a voice using “Read by,” or stop the recording with “Stop audio.” The story stays on screen so you can read it too. Once you’ve heard the available stories, they repeat.

No sound?

Turn up your media volume and check whether your sound is going to headphones, a Bluetooth speaker, or your car. An internet connection is needed to load a recording. If playback fails, the story will still be readable. Press again to try the next story.

Where the stories come from

We look for recent, source-backed stories about discoveries, inventions, communities, nature, and other welcome developments. AI helps research, check, and write the summaries; the voices are AI-generated. Each story links to its publisher so you can read more. We aim to avoid partisan and religious advocacy.

We look for stories four times a day. We keep earlier stories available when a new batch isn’t ready, so a story you hear may be from a previous day. We don’t promise breaking news or a fixed number of stories.

Something isn’t right?

Send us the story text or source link and tell us what needs correcting. For a playback problem, include your device and browser or app version, chosen voice, and whether you were using headphones. Please don’t send passwords or payment details.
